How It Works

These reagents follow the Amino Acid Method, adapted from the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 18th Edition. When phosphorus reacts with the reagent, it creates a blue tint in the water sample. The HI717 Checker then measures the intensity of this color to determine the phosphate concentration in ppm (mg/L).

To use:

1. Add 10 drops of the first reagent to your water sample.

2. Add the HI717-25 reagent packet.

3. Insert the sample into the HI717 to display results.
